Victoria Bond, is a composer, conductor, lecturer, and the artistic director of Cutting Edge Concerts which features new music. The list of her commissions and output is vast and has been praised by The New York Times as “powerful, stylistically varied and technically demanding,” and her conducting as “impassioned” by the Wall Street Journal. Her recent opera, Clara, based on the life of Clara Schumann, premiered in 2019 in Baden-Baden at the Berlin Philharmonic Easter Festival. She has composed 8 operas, 6 ballets, 2 piano concertos and orchestral, chamber, choral, and keyboard compositions.
